FIEA’s Largest Cohort Presenting 5 Capstone Games on July 31
July 2, 2026

Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) is excited to present the final Capstone Game Presentations for Cohort 22 on July 31. This event will unveil five original games that showcase to faculty, staff, and industry professionals the creativity, technical expertise, and collaborative talent that our graduate students have been putting in for just shy of a year.
This year marks a milestone for FIEA, as Cohort 22—the largest class in the history of the academy’s lockstep program—will present five original games, more than any previous cohort. Under the guidance of industry veteran and FIEA faculty member Rick Hall, students have completed Capstone, an immersive experience that takes them through every stage of the game development pipeline. From preproduction and production to alpha and beta, each team has followed the same development process used in professional studios, gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for careers in the game industry.
Working in teams, all 90 students have spent the semester developing their games with support from faculty, alumni, and industry professionals. After the Capstone Presentations, many of these projects will be published on Steam, while others will continue to evolve as students carry their work into their final semester at FIEA.
The Cohort 22 Capstone Game Presentations will take place on Friday, July 31, beginning at 12 p.m. and ending at approximately 3 p.m. During the event, each project lead will deliver a brief presentation followed by a live demonstration of their team’s game.
