ORLANDO, FL – Twenty years after the doors opened in the Fall of 2005 with 12 students, the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) Interactive Entertainment M.S. program enrolled 94 new programmers, artists and producers into the graduate-level game design and development program at UCF Downtown in Downtown Orlando’s Creative Village.

These students make up Cohort 22 in FIEA’s top-ranking game design and development program. More than half (49 students) received fellowships and scholarships totaling $147,500. The three scholarships were via endowments from local industry-leading partners Electronic Arts and Iron Galaxy Studios.

Coming to UCF from four different continents and leading universities around the world, the incoming class has earned degrees from the University of Central Florida, University of Florida, University of Wisconsin, India Institute of Technology, China Academy of Arts, University of Kentucky, Michigan State University, University of Miami, Notre Dame, UNC-Charlotte, Cornell, Concordia University, McGill University, Esuela Superia, Florida State University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical, and many more.

The group will study 3D art, tech art, animation, tech design, level design, project management and programming with renowned faculty in FIEA’s lock-step program. After four semesters of building games and prototyping together in various combinations of groups simulating collaboration in the industry, these grad students will hone their skills and build portfolios and resumes, preparing them to enter the video game, film, simulation and other tech-related fields in December 2026.
