These rapid prototype games were produced in a two- to four-week period in instructor Ron Weaver’s Rapid Prototype Production course, a boot camp for making your first games and creating innovative gameplay.
“Candy Trap” is a game in which the player is a frog defending candies from ants by jumping on them or eating them by extending his tongue. The game starts with very few ants trying to steal the candies kept in the center of the screen and gradually the number of incoming ants keep increasing.
In between after killing a specific number of ants the Queen of ants will enter with one of the special powered ants. These special powered ants will be from either big ants stealing multiple candies, small ants with greater speed or red ants which come in large amounts.

Dystopian Drill Divers
A 2 week rapid prototype of an Android game developed in Unity Engine, FIEA (Fall 2015)
Guide your robot around obstacles as it drills down to the earth’s core, in a hope to extract its heat as the last remaining source of fuel for mankind. The farther down you drill, the harder the earth’s crust. The faster you drill, the more quickly your robot’s fuel burns up. Maintain a steady balance between drilling speed and fuel consumption rate.
Obstacles inlclude rocks and diamond mines.
On your way down don’t forget to collect fuel for your robot, and diamonds for buying upgrades from the store.
Special power upgradeds include a “phaser laser”, which will destroy everything in it’s path, and a “radioactive core heater” which burns out the debris around to make way for the robot.

Take to the skies, and fall, in this charming backyard high diving game. Players must match their limbs to silhouette poses as they appear on screen in order to be awarded a high score from the judges. It may look easy but as most things are in this world, looks can be deceiving.

Kidferatu And The SPOOPY House
A Unity game centered around the theme of “emergent gameplay”. You play as the child vampire, Kidferatu! He must find his way out of the haunted houe using pumpkins and candies with unique magical properties.

You’re part of a fairly new band and have been booked your first big gig: Battle of the Bands. The crowd is eagerly awaiting the show to start and its time to hit the spotlight.
When you get up on stage you realize that there has been a huge mistake- your band’s equipment has been placed on the opposite stage! You would just walk over but the security guard doesn’t know who you are, you know because you’re new and all. The only way to bypass security is to crowdsurf across to the other stage and landing on stage before the security catches you.
In this 2 player game players take control of a band and try to win over the crowd by playing their music louder than the other band, which is done by getting more band members on stage than the opposing band. Each player also controls the security guard that guards against the opposing band, which adds to the fun as players try to control two different things at the same time. The band who has the all of the crowd’s support, or most of the crowd’s support after the band’s gig time runs out, wins.

Isabell is a happy princess who doesn’t need a man, but the King and Queen want her to marry. They have given Isabell a love potion so she will fall in love with the first perosn to kiss her, and they have invited all the prices from the nearby kingdoms to try and win over her heart.
Play as Princess Isabell as you try to avoid being kissed by the swarm of princess trying to win you over.

A firey mountain spirit and a serene forest spirit can’t agree on where one’s turf end and the other ends! Two players mark as much territory as they can before the timer runs down in this 2D Splatoon-like land grabber, using hordes of summoned lesser elementals to help achieve total control!

Enjoy exploring this unique story told from a different perspective – a neglected plant attempts to survive as its owner deals with their personal issues. Experimental mechanics help to put the player in the “pot” of a flower, forced to find a way to survive their harsh environment to make it through the end of the day.

A Flash game centered on the theme of “fun”. In Clownin’ Around, you play as the joyful clown ‘BonBon’who must put on a show for his audience while all the members of the circus try to foil him! You must last as long as possible and get the high score!

The Witch’s cat locked her out of her own home and ripped up her spellbook!
Fortunately, the resourceful Witch can collect items nearby and use recipies from
scattered spell book pages to brew potions and find a way to get back inside.
Kauldron is a 2D Adventure game that has multiple solutions that reward the player
for experimenting with the the four potions: Growth, Animate, Explode, and Levitate.

Kite Fite is a 2 player kite fighting game developed in Adobe Flash ActionScript 3.0 as part of a 2 week Rapid Prototyping project at FIEA. The objective of the game is to knock out the opponents kite using a weapon attached to the tail of your kite. Players control using WASD and arrow keys respectively.

Hearing the sound of the bedroom door opening you wake up from your puppy bed excited to greet your master, a young 10 year old boy. This time around the boy is not happy to see you, as he walks slowly to his bed upset.
Take control of the puppy as you try to find a way to make the boy happy again.

“In the year 2500, after a fierce battle between the Humans and Robots, the
Robots took over the planet, pulverizing the humans and bringing mankind
to the verge of extinction. Thousands of robots are being brought to life by
‘The Hivemind’ at a secret underground warehouse.”
One of those Robots is ‘Robo444’, which is sent to an old subway station to
search for any remaining humans. But as it explores the area, a series of
strange events begin to occur…

A 2 week rapid prototype developed in Unity3D at FIEA (Fall 2015) on the theme of ‘storytelling’.
The game is set in space, where you and one other astronaut are casually space walking near your station. Things go south when the station is destroyed due to an unknown event. Recovering from the shock of what happened, you now have to make the decision of whether to desert your incapacitated partner and head for the escape pod with the limited oxygen you have left, or try and save him and bring him back to the pod with you.
The story follows a tell-a-tale structure where the standed astonaut tries to pursuade you to save him. The response you choose will either agitate him (thus making his oxygen consumption a lot faster) or it will calm him down, giving you ample time to get him to the escape pod before either of you runs out of oxygen.

Using thier torch, the player must light the sconces on the wall, revealing cave paintings from a time long ago. Not only do the paintings act as a story telling device, but they also give the player some insight on what obsticles lie ahead. Towards the end of the journey, it is revealed that the cave the player has been exploring, is actually the monster showed in the cave paintings. It’s time to haul butt and get out of there!
