These rapid prototypes were produced in a two- to four-week period in instructor Ron Weaver’s Rapid Prototype Production course, a boot camp for making your first games and creating innovative gameplay.

6 Days Until Summer

Description:

Take on the role of a female student who recently transferred to an all-boys academy in this VR anime dating simulator!
Try to woo and romance the guys before summer break by getting to know them and taking them on dates.
But be weary as there is a Yandere in the midst who will try to thwart your romance with the other students by orchestrating “accidents” that cause the other boys to disappear.

Dear Brother

Description:

You receive a letter from your younger brother. Something seems amiss at home, on the remote island you grew up on. Worried and a bit curious you set sail, hoping everything is ok.

Drowsy Driver

Description:

Drowsy Driver is a virtual reality experience in which players are placed in a car with the task of staying alert while driving. Players can engage in multiple different activities like playing the radio or eating or drinking to try to stay awake, eventually the inevitable will happen. How long can you stay awake?

So You Think You Know Art

Description:

Professor Snooty is giving an art history lecture and you are in control of his presentation slides!
You have to balance both the professors’ happiness with the audience’s happiness by displaying different images on screen during the lecture.
Professor Snooty likes when you put the correct art on screen while the audience enjoys looking at memes, and neither like it when you put the incorrect art on the screen.
Do your best to keep both parties happy until the end of the lecture.

Description:

O is a one touch, twitch, action game for mobile platforms with a simple premise: Survive.
Your goal is to survive 30 second trials where you must dodge red zones within the O.
Do you have the skill to make it through all 6 trials? Or will the O overtake you?

Perilous Paint Project

Description:

The Perilous Paint Project is a quirky top-down shooter. Players take control of a paint gun in a dark room, then blast paint everywhere to reveal the environment and to take down a pesky ghost!

Hand of God

Description:

A casual shoot’em up game in which your hand is your weapon!

Note: This game requires perception neuron (a motion capture device) to play.

VRChaeology

Description:

VRChaeology is a virtual reality experience in which players are free to explore the tomb of the famous
Qin Xi Huang Di while solving puzzles and avoiding booby traps.

Afterlife

Description:

A corporative mobile platformer where one player controls a ghost using touch controls to jump and move, while the other spawns platforms to help the ghost get to his grave in time.
The game utilizes the camera on the mobile phone to read images on a special cube that then will spawn in game objects depending on which picture on the cube is facing the camera.

Note: To play this game, a custom made cube with different pictures on its faces is required.

Doodle Duels

Description:

Compete in a 1v1 doodling competition. Try to match the image in the center of the screen as best as you can.
The person closest to the image wins! You can draw, erase, and just move with three different cursors. Collect power ups to disrupt your opponent by moving over them.

Fog of War

Description:

Fog of War is a turn by turn multiplayer strategy game. Two opposing infantry units have to find their way to victory through the Fog of War.
As the generals you will be guiding your unit without knowing their location. Only the feedback that the unit gives you will help you find their location.
The green team is trying to get to the extraction point while the red team is trying to catch the green team before they are extracted.

Logician

Description:

The Logician is a prototype that blends Top Down Farming Simulators with an educational purpose to teach the basics of Programming.
You are the great Logician Wizard that has arrived at a farm frozen by an evil spell. With the help of your spell book you will put life back into the world.
The crafting of your spells will be based on basic programming and without even knowing it, you will learn what Programming is all about!

Oakgate

Description:

This game tells the story of a castle. As different kinds of villagers look to join the population of your castle, make the decision of opening the gate (pressing Q) or closing the game (pressing W).
Each decision will influence the events and final outcome of the castle’s story.

Snowmaniacs!

Description:

Snowmaniacs is a two player cat and mouse chase game that start together on a lake of ice. The objective of an individual player is to slide on it in lanes and attempt to stick the flaming marshmallow onto their opponent’s back or side.

The Morning After

Description:

The Morning after is a narrative game that uses atmosphere and environment to tell the story of a couple in a rocky relationship.

WIPGame

Description:

A Rapid Prototype game developed in Unreal, focusing on narrative driven gameplay in a similar vein as Stanley Parable. You great adventurer must make your way to great heroic deeds and save this fair land, or do you?
