Alyssa is primarily a level designer, while also dabbling in lighting art and level art.
She received her BA at Rollins College, with a major in psychology and a minor in writing. Then, she went to FIEA and got her MS in interactive entertainment. While at FIEA, she specialized in level design, and was also a project lead for the capstone game called Scamp: High Hat Havoc, which published to Steam. During the summer semester of FIEA, she landed a gig as a full-time level designer at Gearbox Software. At Gearbox, she worked on Borderlands 3, along with some other unannounced projects. Now, she has come back to her home at FIEA to teach the level design track and help level design students land their first gig.
In her free time, Alyssa works on indie projects with other faculty, along with solo levels and lighting pieces. However, she also has multiple passions outside of game development, such as riding horses and 2D illustration.’
